A sign of things to come…
The following sketch is one that begins a new age in P! Company humor. In approximately five minutes with this sketch, Andy and I managed to achieve the comedy status of such greats as Carlos Mencia, Jeff Foxworthy, Brian Posehn, Margaret Cho, and the comedian that was in “Hanging with Mr. Cooper”. Man I loved that show. Anyway, this marks the first sketch released in a great long time, and we hope it is a sign of things to come.
Anyway, on to the sketch. Two of our friends, John Baker and David Kapler, finally accomplished the dream common to all 20-something filmmakers our age- they made it to L.A., the city that never sleeps. Their first order of business was to network with the various savvy industry types that litter the better part of Los Angeles. They decided the best forum to do so was to conveniently catch these folks while they are inebriated at some of L.A.’s hottest clubs on the strip. This is when they will be able to best “close the deal” on say John’s TV ptich or David’s hot new screenplay. The two intrepid young men made there way to the one place that they would be sure to see plenty of high rollers and stars, but then something awful happened.
The last time anyone saw John and David was July 19th at 3:15 am. They were reportedly staggering away from a local Waffle House. The Waffle House waitress said the pair, “looked like they were on something; something like drugs.” John and David were making their way into the wilderness away from the city. No one knows of their current whereabouts.
Andy and I thought hard about the situation. When no one found anything new, we decided to take the law into our own hands. We became vigilantes of a sort in the vein of John Walsh and Robert Stack. So, we made this dramatic “video dramatization” of the event from all the information we cobbled together. We then submitted it to the police. Now we thought we’d be able to get to the bottom of things. But we were subsequently laughed out of L.A.P.D. headquarters.
So here we are. If your still reading this, I’d say just go watch the sketch, and I’m sorry for wasting all your time on this ridiculous and unnecessary exposition to the video. Just check it out and come back soon. We’ll have more sketch videos to quench your appetite for comedy.
