Andy is also a “Nerd”
I, Andy Petruzzo, just took a random internet quiz to determine if I was a Nerd, Geek, or Dork. And I found the results staggering: 52 % Nerd, 83% Geek, 17% Dork.
Refer to Kyle’s post for specific definitions of “geek”, “nerd”, and “dork.”
I must say that I was delighted with the results. Because, really, in today’s mile-a-minute, workaday, tech-savvy world, if you’re not a “Modern Cool Nerd”, then just what are you? A jock? A “cool” kid? A stupid-head? Given the alternatives, I’m happy to be stereotyped as exactly what I am: a cool nerd.
Whether or not I am ‘modern’ is debatable: My iMac has a paltry 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, and my HDTV can display 1080i but not 1080p. I’ll leave you, the internet, to make that call. It’s interesting, though: I always thought of myself as a geek. But apparently I’m a nerd. Oh OKCupid, your online tests are like looking into an unforgiving mirror.
