Clear your dance cards, the P! Company strikes again!

The Coldtowne Theater has awarded the P! Company with a brand new late-night slot (11:30) created on the third Thursday of every month. It will follow Chris Trew’s popular variety show “Thursday Night Awesome”. This monthly show will showcase the latest sketch videos, live sketches, and the first ever P! Company-branded improv. Get excited Austin, TX… and world.

Our first show in the new time will be Thursday, January 17^th, 11:30pm. So be there.

Now, if it seems like one new show a month isn’t enough for your small and insignificant minds, then may I point your attention to Coldtowne’s 3^rd annual see.hear.speak festival*.

The P! Company will be performing among others on Thursday, January 24th at 8:00pm and 10:00pm for an evening of wonderfully blended video and live comedy.

*See.hear.speak. is a comedy festival hosted by Coldtowne Theater that celebrates alternative formats (comic videos, music, and monologues). Tickets will go on sale mid-January. For more info Check out the Coldtowne website.

THE P! COMPANY AND THE RANDOM VIDEO GRAB-BAG

It is what it sounds like. The P! Company has collected all the videos from the previous live shows plus all of the sketches that we produced over the last year (for our website’s seasons 1 and 2.0). We’ve also pulled a handful of old videos from the ten or so years of archives.

The show will in effect be a choose your own adventure-type sketch show- in that you [the audience] will choose a number or role a dice or simply pick a video at random which will then tell us what sketch to play on screen or what to perform live for your entertainment. This show is our little experiment to have a little fun and perhaps take you down the long winding history of the P! Company- what it is, what it was, what it should be perhaps in the future. Hope to see you there.

In case you didn’t know for some reason, The P! Company has been busy as bees building the various “honeycombs of comedy” in the form of a two roughly 80 minute long, live sketch shows at Coldtowne Theater in Austin, TX.

If you haven’t come out to see us yet- then do it. Because I guarantee that we are having a blast tonight. [Well, it’ll definitely be better than all the Skyy Blue and copy of Harry Potter on VHS that you planned for your Friday night]

THE P! COMPANY AND THE SPECTAULAR TUNNEL SYSTEM!!!!

So, we started the month with the first show, The P! Company and the Astonishing Data Cube. It ran October 5^th  and concluded with the 12^th’s performance. The Friday of October 19^th we created a blend of the first show (…Astonishing Data Cube) and a preview of the second show (…Spectacular Tunnel System). We affectionately titled it Show 1.5: or The P! Company and the Spectacular Data Cube.

Tonight is the premiere of the second show and the end of our original theatrical run, but we spoke with our friends over at Coldtowne and they were happy to also give us the first two Fridays in November. So, we’ll be performing “…the Spectacular Tunnel System” again on November 2^nd and probably a mystery surprise/random compilation show on November 9^th.

If you’re out of town, state, or country, worry not. We’ll be updating the website with a slew of videos sketches from the shows and maybe a handful of recreated live bits we performed in the month of November. More on this later! Just get to the shows!

October 5th marked the first live P! Company performance, and it turned out pretty good. People laughed at the funny stuff, cried at the dramatic parts, and by all accounts had a pretty great time. The show ran an hour and twenty minutes with the combination of both live sketch performances and our trademark comedy videos.

I just wanted to let everyone out in cyberspace to know that- it indeed happened. And if you didn’t catch it last week, come out to Coldtowne and show your support this week.

The P! Company is now hard at work piecing together the components of the all-original second show- premiering October 19. We’ll be putting up some video clips from the first show a little later. So check back for that too.

Well fans, The P! Company has momentarily dipped below the radar again, but not without purpose. We’ve been taking a sabbatical from the rigors of the P! Co’s online content in order to prepare for our month-long run of The P! Company Live Show.

We’ll be performing at the Coldtowne Theater, Friday Nights in October at 8pm. Andy and I have prepared two original hour long shows with our extended cast. The live show is a different beast- requiring rehearsals, planning, extensive writing, juggling various technical elements, etc. But it has been a blast to stretch our proverbial comic wings.
