Ultraviolent Art Film 2000

I don’t really know how to classify this next piece- except to say that the P! Company went through a phase just before the turn of the century where we were interested in absurd violence and Radiohead.

During this time we created several D.I.Y. blood hit devices and shot tests for a couple of months of us doing practice special effects like gunshots, PG-rated dismemberment, and other practical “effects” that were never really executed in an actual video or film outside of this test we shot. We call this our Ultraviolent Art Film 2000.

[Adding the year 2000 helped both capture the turn of the century period as well as get us on the unique naming convention bandwagon of those precious pre-2000 years.]

The Night Show with Josh Krilov

Andy and Kyle have been working on a local Austin “Late Night” show hosted by their friend and cohort Joshua Krilov. The Night Show with Josh Krilov has been a fun and exciting adventure into the talk show format. Andy has been fulfilling the role of co-host and Kyle the position of head writer for the show. Josh also took a bunch of video of us goofing off behind the scenes on the show- they are all in a playlist here.

If you get a chance definitely catch up with the show- the performances have been sold out. This Thursday, November 18th @ 10pm is the last episode of the month run. Look forward to seeing you!

Through the course of time, these two stereotypes have been at the other guy’s throats for the ultimate prize… winning… against that other one.

See this conflict realized to its fullest by the talented improvisers- Andy Petruzzo, Kyle Sweeney, and Andrew Lee.

Welcome to a Re-imagining

Hello P! Company fans. And a Merry Christmas and a Happy holidays to you all. The P! Company is getting back into the swing of things for the new year, 2009. We’d like to note that many psychic specialists that we have seen and paid handsome sums of money to have claimed that 2009 will be the year of the “P”.

In 2009, we have See.Hear.Speak.4 to perform in, we have a brand new set of sketches, we have several Christmas toys to play with (Andy got a sword from Santa), and we have a new mantra- “Let’s not try to be funny, let’s try to be famous.”

Andy and I look forward to the future of such gypsy premonitions. But with this assumed rise to power must come great change (in order to become greatness incarnate).

So it is with this, we begin to create a new world of comedy for our fellow nerd and non-nerd alike. The P! Company is being re-imagined. This specifically refers to the fact that we will no longer shoot video sketches. All of our material will be performed in a brand new way.

To showcase what I mean-we have created a new interpretation of the classic P! Company sketch “Anniversary”. Please enjoy this as a sign of things to come, and again a happy holidays to our friends out in cyber-space.
