The Big Game

The show Thursday was awesome- thanks to all who made it out. Be sure to make it out to the see.hear.speak festival at ColdTowne Theater this week.

The P! Company will be performing a set at the 10:00pm, January 24th- Thursday night “See” slot. Seating will be limited, so go order your tickets online here or for more information check at the See.Hear.Speak site.

In the process of piecing together a live show, things inevitably get cut- generally for time. So sadly we didn’t get the chance to debut this little video at 11:39pm last night. But by sending the video out as little 1’s and 0’s through a series of tubes, you the viewer can enjoy the sketch from the comfort of your own home.

In this sketch, a man watches some football and stuff happens. Ladies and Gentlemen, “The Big Game of Life.”

The EXPERIENCE

Here’s another P! Company sketch that comes from the last set of shows we performed. It is entitled, “The Jackie Jameson Experience.” Enjoy this as a special holiday gift from us, The P! Company.

Also, be sure to remember and clear your calendars for the P! Co’s new late-night slot at Coldtowne every third Thursday each month (after Thursday Night Awesome). January 17th, 11:39pm- it will be an event! Andy and I were piecing together our flyers for the new show, which we’re affectionately calling “Hangin’ with Mr. The P! Company”. Tell us what you think!

There can be only One… next.

Good Morning, Christopher (AKA The Highlander) is another solid sketch from the run of shows we did over October and November. It features two of the Coldtowne greats: Chris Trew and Michael Jastroch.

Chris Trew plays mild mannered neighborhood guy, Christopher. However it is Michael Jastroch who graces us with his presence by creating both a touching and personal performance for Connor MacLeod of the clan MacLeod (the role that launched Christopher Lambert to the occasionally referred to scifi/fantasy icon [I saw 1999's techno-induced Beowulf]).

Will Christopher be prepared for the fight of his young immortal life? Find out here.

The Year was 1991…

We all remember where we were on that fateful day of August 13, 1991. It was a revolution both of technology and of our minds. On this day our lives and culture were forever changed. The Nintendo had been a staple of our childhoods, but it was with the release of the Super Nintendo that we evolved into the people we are today.

We had been exposed to 16 bit graphics before, but never with quite the same gameplay and fun. It was a status symbol. If you had it you were either really rich or really cool. And either attribute was fine for the have-nots, because the rich/cool kids were our opportunity to step into the bigger world of the SNES. Don’t get me wrong, we pleaded and begged our parents for the Super Nintendo, but it was $199.00, and some of us would just have to wait for our prayers to be answered. We would have done anything to get it and become “the cool kids of 1991-92,” but alas Andy got his in ‘94 and I myself didn’t receive the SNES until the Christmas of 1995.

Andy and I pondered what we would have done had we been a little older and a little more qualified for a job at the time of the Super Nintendo’s release. The answer was we would have owned it day one, no exceptions- even if we had to sell our souls. It would have been awesome.
